Sage Growth Capital is a Revenue Based Financing (RBF) firm investing in companies at any stage who need growth capital. Our founders are pioneers in this form of financing and bring years of investment banking, entrepreneurship and angel investing experience which culminated in the ability to bring this innovative model to the market.
Our mission is to provide a more flexible and sustainable funding option to growing companies as an alternative to traditional venture or debt capital.

Denise Dunlap
Founder & Managing Partner
Denise has been an active angel investor since 2008. In 2010 she co-founded Loon Creek Capital Group, which provides consulting and administrative services to angel investors nationwide. Denise continues to lead Loon Creek as CEO. She serves as President of Boise State’s College of Business and Economics Advisory Council. Previous roles include: Analyst at Blue Cross of Idaho, Annual Giving Director for the College of Idaho, President/CEO of The Network Group, Executive Director of the BSU TECenter, and co-founder/CEO of virtual reality startup BlockSmith. Denise has served in several volunteer roles including Lead Instructor for the Angel Capital Association’s Education program and on boards of local non-profits. She holds a BBA in Entrepreneurship from Boise State University.
Molly Otter
Founder & Investments Partner
Molly helped found Sage Growth Capital in 2019. Prior to that, she was the Chief Investment Officer of Lighter Capital where she helped to significantly grow the business and she still remains on the Board. Previous roles include VP at AEA Investors, a multi-billion dollar private equity fund in NYC; and Associate at GSC Partners, another NYC private equity firm. She holds degrees from Dartmouth College (BA) and the London School of Economics (MSc). She is also involved in the local community, serving on several Boards in Boise, while raising three children with her husband, John and tending to “her urban farm” as her husband calls it.

Bryce Jones
Principal
Bryce was a co-founder for a B2B SaaS company which was using AI to improve data quality inside Salesforce before joining Sage. He’s worked in tech for most of his career ranging from big tech corporations in Asia to early-stage startups. He’s passionate about entrepreneurship and helping businesses achieve their growth milestones. He holds degrees from INSEAD in Paris/Singapore (MBA) and the University of Vermont (BA).
Katie Gagnon
Operations
Katie is the Director of Growth & Operations, designing and running the processes behind the back office including CRM workflows, automations, data pipelines and reporting. She also leads investor onboarding and support across all of Sage's funds, guiding accredited investors from first outreach through to closing. Outside of Sage, she works at Loon Creek Capital and does commercial real estate. She holds a BBA from Washington State University.

Michelle Ward
Accounting
Michelle manages accounting and investment payments at Sage, handling investor statements, capital accounts, balance reports and distributions across the funds. She brings a long background running the operational side of businesses, more than ten years as an office manager at an auto dealership, and seven years owning and operating a daycare. Having run a small business herself, she knows firsthand what the companies Sage backs are working with day to day.
Jocelyn Ingram
Portfolio Associate
Jocelyn is a versatile business operations specialist with over 10 years of experience supporting startup and growing organizations across healthcare, regulated products, and consumer-focused industries. She helps founders and small teams turn complex operations into clear, scalable systems, specializing in regulator coordination, systems implementation, financial operations, and performance reporting. Jocelyn holds an MBA with a focus on systems thinking and organizational leadership, along with undergraduate degrees in business administration and psychology. Known for her precision, adaptability, and resourceful problem-solving, Jocelyn is a trusted strategic generalist who thrives in fast-paced, remote environments and keeps businesses running smoothly behind the scenes.

Kevin Learned
Founder, Retired
Kevin is a past member of the Angel Capital Association Board of Directors and Founding Chair of its Education and Smart Practices Committee. He is co-founder, along with Denise Dunlap of angel service organization Loon Creek Capital Group. He was a co-founder of the Boise Angel Alliance and an active angel investor since 1995. As co-founder of Learned-Mahn, he has the distinction of being one of Idaho’s first software entrepreneurs. Kevin has served as VP of the Rain Fund Program for RAIN Source Capital, Associate Dean of College of Business and Founding Director of Venture College at Boise State University, President of the College of Idaho, and CEO of The Network Group. Kevin has an extensive list of civic leadership positions including Past District Governor for Rotary International. He holds degrees from Yale (BA), Wharton (MBA) and Texas Tech (Ph.D).

Bri is a seasoned marketing and branding professional with a strong track record of helping startups grow and connect with their audiences. She’s worked across industries, from electric vehicles to media and finance, bringing ideas to life with a mix of creative thinking and strategic execution. As a mom of three and a natural problem-solver, Bri is skilled at navigating complexity and getting things done. She's passionate about building thoughtful, lasting brands and loves working at the intersection of creativity, purpose, and action. She holds a BA in business from the University of Washington.

Sage is the newest, and smallest, member of the Sage Growth Capital team. His focus is simple: helping good businesses grow.
Born from a seed of an idea and fueled by a healthy dose of optimism, Sage represents what we believe at Sage Growth Capital: growth is strongest when it has the right capital at the right time. He helps the team stay focused by keeping things simple and injecting a bit of humor. He may not have a LinkedIn profile (yet), but Sage is already an important part of the team, and a reminder that sometimes the best ideas start small.
