Sage Growth Capital is the management company for Sage Growth Capital Fund I & II. Our founders have extensive experience in private equity and debt investments and angel group administration.
We are passionate about bringing a more flexible funding option to companies who do not fit traditional equity or lending models.

Denise Dunlap
Managing Partner
Denise has been an active angel investor since 2008. In 2010 she co-founded Loon Creek Capital Group, which provides consulting and administrative services to angel investors nationwide. Denise continues to lead Loon Creek as Managing Partner. She is also the Chair of the Education Committee and President-elect for Boise State’s College of Business and Economics Advisory Council. Previous roles include: Analyst at Blue Cross of Idaho, Annual Giving Director for the College of Idaho, President/CEO of The Network Group, Executive Director of the BSU TECenter, and co-founder/CEO of virtual reality startup BlockSmith. Denise has served in several volunteer roles including Lead Instructor for the Angel Capital Association’s Education program and on boards of local non-profits. She holds a BBA in Entrepreneurship from Boise State University.​​

Molly Otter
Investments Partner
Molly helped found Sage Growth Capital in 2019. Prior to that, she was the Chief Investment Officer of Lighter Capital which she helped to significantly grow and where she still remains on the Board. Previous roles include VP at AEA Investors, a multi-billion dollar private equity fund in NYC; and Associate at GSC Partners, another NYC private equity firm. She holds degrees from Dartmouth College (BA) and the London School of Economics (MSc). She is also involved in the local community, serving on several Boards in Boise, while raising three children with her husband, John and tending to “her urban farm” as her husband calls it.

Kevin Learned
Partner
Kevin is a past member of the Angel Capital Association Board of Directors and Founding Chair of its Education and Smart Practices Committee. He is co-founder, along with Denise Dunlap of angel service organization Loon Creek Capital Group. He was a co-founder of the Boise Angel Alliance and an active angel investor since 1995. As co-founder of Learned-Mahn, he has the distinction of being one of Idaho’s first software entrepreneurs. Kevin has served as VP of the Rain Fund Program for RAIN Source Capital, Associate Dean of College of Business and Founding Director of Venture College at Boise State University, President of the College of Idaho, and CEO of The Network Group. Kevin has an extensive list of civic leadership positions including Past District Governor for Rotary International. He holds degrees from Yale (BA), Wharton (MBA) and Texas Tech (Ph.D).
Bryce Jones
Growth & Portfolio Manager
Bryce was a co-founder for a B2B SaaS company which was using AI to improve data quality inside Salesforce before joining Sage. He’s worked in tech for most of his career ranging from big tech corporations in Asia to early-stage startups. He’s passionate about entrepreneurship and helping businesses achieve their growth milestones. He holds degrees from INSEAD in Paris/Singapore (MBA) and the University of Vermont (BA).
